The Alcohol Subcommittee was specifically created to bring awareness in preventing alcohol related harms, educate the community, and to advocate for state/local policies. The subcommittee also provides resources such as infographics, brochures, and technical support to share with community members and service providers.
Some of our projects:
TTC (Table Top Campaign): Our subcommittee provides written prevention message on a creative design to disseminate on major holidays such as St. Patrick's Day and Cinco De Mayo, etc. The designs are distributed to local restaurants, bars, and other alcohol outlets.
Drunk Driving Infographic: This infographic details the current statistics of alcohol-related costs, the effects of different blood alcohol concentration levels, and safety recommendations to prevent driving the influence.
The committee meets every first Thursday from 2:00-3:00 PM via Zoom. Everyone is welcome!
