A Service Planning Area, or SPA, is a specific geographic region within Los Angeles County.

"Due to the large size of L.A. County (4,300 square miles), it has been divided into eight geographic areas. These distinct regions allow the Department of Public Health to develop and provide more relevant public health and clinical services targeted to the specific health needs of the residents in these different areas." - County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health


L.A. Metro is one of the most dense, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse areas in Los Angeles County. Substance abuse in L.A. Metro is an issue that touches the lives of many those that live and work here.
